A true institution within the French-speaking community of the United Kingdom, the mission of the Dispensaire Français rests on four core values: **solidarity, accessibility, volunteer commitment and dignity**. 

Whether you are struggling to navigate the [NHS system](https://dispensaire-en.abstract27.com/new-guide-uk-healthcare-system/) or facing the language barrier, whether you are looking for a second medical opinion in French, or going through a difficult time — financially, psychologically or socially — we are here to listen to you, guide you and care for you.

Our work rests on four core pillars:

Accessible medical care in French 

We offer [**medical consultations for £10** ](https://dispensaire-en.abstract27.com/medical-consultations/)across more than a dozen specialities. All our practitioners are UK-registered professionals who work on a voluntary basis: 

- General medicine and specialists (dermatology, gynaecology, paediatrics)
- Allied health professionals (ENT, nutrition, physiotherapy, osteopathy, speech therapy, psychomotor therapy)
- Psychology

Support and guidance tailored to your needs 

Beyond medical care, for over 150 years the Dispensaire Français has been committed through **programmes of human and social support**. Because health is not just about medicine, we have developed specific programmes: 

- Espace Santé Jeunes for 13-25s looking for a listening ear
- Club Sénior to break the isolation of older people
- Parcours Soutien Femmes for those going through a difficult time

Social support for people in difficulty 

Our **social service** supports French speakers in difficulty with practical, immediate help:

- Guidance and information on your dealings with the British system
- Psychological support and/or help in an emergency
- Emergency financial aid: hotel nights, food vouchers, bus tickets, Oyster cards. Conditions apply.

Société Clinique: our network of professionals 

The Société Clinique of the Dispensaire Français is an active medical network bringing together French-speaking doctors and health professionals in the United Kingdom:
