Because getting medical care in a foreign country can be complicated, the Dispensaire Français makes access to care easier for French speakers living in the United Kingdom. Our healthcare professionals welcome you in French, by appointment, in a caring and confidential environment at our premises in Hammersmith. You can also request online consultations if you do not live in London.
Whether you need a one-off consultation, a medical follow-up or a second opinion, all personal and medical information is treated as strictly confidential. Our consultations are aimed primarily at people who do not have private health insurance, are not yet registered with the NHS or are facing financial difficulties.
Our volunteer general practitioners, specialist doctors, nurse and allied health professionals see you for a consultation at a flat rate of £10. Thanks to the diversity of our specialities, we offer care tailored to your needs, with support in French at every stage of your care journey.
Our permanent team is available by telephone to answer your first questions about the British healthcare system and help you settle into the NHS with peace of mind. To find out more about how the NHS works, see our free guide in French.
⚠️ Please note : the Dispensaire Français is in no way a substitute for the NHS. In an emergency, call 999.
